Just trying to harvest the crops...

Barley swaths ready to be baled up on the Bench. Garrett is in the truck WAY up the strip...Rick is in the combine. Mark dumping the combine. Haystack Butte. Mark cutting on the strips south of Haystack Butte. If you look in the background, you can see the farm! Oh...and Hubster in the combine! This has been an itchy barley day... I walked onto the deck and noticed that Rick, Mark, and Justin were all combining the same field...and I needed photos! Good thing I had a telephoto lens...but then I needed to see if I could get a few better shots if I were to get closer. Garrett, in this truck, and Chad have to really hustle to try to keep up to 3 combines going.

I love the photos of all those wide open spaces. One day we'll make it across the ocean! I'd imagine you must feel really shut in if you visit cities?

Cities are okay to visit, but I get a little claustrophobic if I stay too long. I do like seeing what is coming...both weather wise and even company! I too would love to someday make it across the ocean!

I can see why they call Montana Big Sky Country, because that's all you see! In Wisconsin, there are always trees in the way to block your view of the sky. Sometimes you need to climb observation tower and get above the trees! I live in a city, so don't really get to see wide-open spaces. I only see them if we are on a hill somewhere.
