Back from Billings

Our state has an annual meeting for the Educators of Montana. This year's conference was in Billings...about a 300 mile trek through deer country. As we had an early out day last Wednesday, my fellow math teacher and I loaded my pickup with our bags (and his bike) so that we could join the other teachers heading south. I took some beautiful yarn I had received from LaVerna so that I could use it for a pair of mittens. I found a gorgeous new yarn store while I was there, but I"m not sure if the Wild Purl has a web site yet. It was heavenly to touch the many fibers...and the display of colors was worth dodging the deer. I will have to go back! While I was at the Wild Purl, I picked up some Cascade 220 to match the mitten yarn...and now I have a matching hat! These are finished just in time for me to go to the football team's playoff game tomorrow. Now if I can only find a new teal coat...I'll keep looking! Oh, the pic of the hat and mittens will be coming shortly.

I have a license Plate!

We could work this into our probability lessons, but until then, it is still fun!

Oh my goodness, LaVerna ROCKS!

I am so very blessed to have had such a wonderful swapper in my first Knit-Tea swap. As many of my fellow swappers have stated, the generosity shown to each other is so heartwarming. I'm just aglow with awe. I had to locate my camera, and I wish I had bogged blogger down with images. I have been caressing the yarn, sniffing the tea, and playing with the contents of this HUGE box. Here...just see all the stuff she placed in that box!

Can you BELIEVE how sweet she is? This goodie arrived at the mail box on a weekend, BUT as there isn't any delivery on until Monday, I had to knock on the door...luckily, we are a small enough town everyone knows each other...so Denise opened right up! Everything, from the personal note, to the bamboo needles, is greatly appreciated. There are teas and chocolates I have never seen, let alone tasted! The yarn and patterns (and the whole book!) are fabulous. The individual tea pot/cup is adorable...I'm the luckiest knitter on the planet! Thank you!

Knitters Tea Swap ready for launch!

While collecting goodies for my special knitter, I found out just how remote my area of the tea drinking world is. Mail goes out from home on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday...but as there is no mail on Monday, the package will be sent out Tuesday. Although I wasn't able to find all the favorite teas, I did collect some special teas to send to my friend. I can hardly wait for the box to arrive! Of course, that is going to be tough as it is still sitting in my living room just waiting for the trip to the rural mailbox on Tuesday!
