February 29, 2008

What a special day this has turned out to be. Thre is only one time a young man gets his first vehicle...and this is the day. This photo shows Garrett on the Whitlash Road on the way home to the farm. Bell Motors delivered the pickup to us in Chester, which was very nice as Rick was watching the cows (it is calving season).

Delaney road home with her brother, and they waited for me to follow along and take this photo with East Butte, part of the Sweetgrass Hills, as their backdrop. (BTW, that is where we got our Christmas tree.)

Oh, and while I am being excited about fun events, I have to let y'all know I was a part of a 'Stitch n *itch' on Thursday in Chester! (Hi Katie!) It was way more fun to talk yarn, patterns, and ball winders than it was to correct papers or do lesson plans. I did get to see a Chevron Scarf in person...and as it is in my queue, I was very interested. Yep, that was so much fun I can hardly wait to do it again! I finished these socks just a few days ago...but I took awhile to upload. I'm binding off Ethan's last sock tonight...and the small Calgary Flame logo will be coming soon. What a good day!

What a special day this is.

National Honor's Society - Delaney!

Grandma and Grandpa Dunnwebber sent along the flowers for this special occasion. We are all so proud of our girl!

Kylinn, Lauren, Taylor, and Delaney were all a part of the festivities.

And what is a celebration without cake? Way to go, Delaney!

Anniversary - Valentine's from the Hubby

Twenty-one years ago, at 4 PM in Ronan, Montana, Rick and I were married. I just love these beautiful flowers, but I do love him more!

Kitty has arrived!

I'm thrilled to inform y'all that Priscilla (as named by her owner Carla) has survived the trip from Whitlash, MT to Pensicola, FL. She had some extra parts to the Cocoa swap to keep her company...er...she guarded some of the extra swap goodies on the way down. It is great to hear she arrived safe and sound!

Tournament time

I do believe Delaney is happy to be at the game with her friends...Cool!

Although I was trying to get a photo of the kids with CJI's mascot, Hiro, it seems as if Joel just had to give the birdie a kiss also. Interesting!

These boys are our Conference Champions. Tonight, they played for the chance to go on to the Divisional games in Great Falls...and they won! The next game will be Wednesday at 6 PM...I'm only glad I'm not giving tests this week!

What are the odds?

As an 18 year old, you can officially win on a scratch lottery ticket.

Just because you CAN win, doesn't mean you WILL win...but Garrett and Delaney found they could have quite a bit of fun trying to win. Oh, Garrett did end up winning some with the scratch tickets, but he wasn't as lucky with the Wednesday drawing.

Name one thing that is unique about you.

I'm 46 and I'm managing to wrap my brain around Calculus. Sort of makes me wish I had been able to take it in High School...but it wasn't offered!

Fill in the blank: My favorite -color- is -purple- but I like -turquoise, bright pink, cobalt blue, blue-red, aka non-whimpy colors- too.

What type of wood do you have for your home’s furnishings?

Home is an eclectic collection of oak, cherry, iron wood, and pine. Each piece of wood carries a memory. The oak rocker was purchased by my hubby so I could rock our first born (who just recently turned 18), then there is the coffee table that was my grandparent's. My husband has the cherry wood desk from his parents. Great-grandma's secretary's desk is stained dark, but it could be pine...maybe. The iron wood was brought back from Mexico in the 1970s. Grandma and Grandpa carried it across the border (and much of the states) on the top of their make-shift milk truck camper...and after they both passed on, I was lucky enough for my mom to claim the set as one of the 5 items she was allowed to request from the estate. Right by the door is a rustic sofa table created by my dear hubby for an early Christmas present. As it was made from his own hands, that is extremely important.

Who do you talk to most often on the phone?

That would be two people, Mom and Vicky. Which reminds me, I need to make a call!

What level of responsibility do you have in your job?
