Plurk Me!

Are you curious as to what Plurk is? I was...but then WendyKnits shared a cool sock pattern with her Plurk buddies...and I fell in love with the sock...well, I joined last Friday.

Wanna take a look
?

School is in full swing!

There are many changes besides having one less child at home. I am the Junior Class adviser...did I mention my dd is a Junior? LOL...she did okay my new assignment before I took it.

Juniors have Prom and Junior/Senior Banquet, as well as the Homecoming festivities we are beginning this next week.

The hubster has finished seeding, and has now to pick the bales, build fence, and put stuff away for fall.

The college boy is welding and forgetting how to call home.

Junior girl will be going for an ortho appt this coming Thursday, and from there we will travel down to see college boy.

Mid Term is this next Friday...and as for me, well, I'm just picking up my feet and rolling with the punches!

Mountain Colors Winter Lace Yarn

I can't forget to share the glorious new yarn I got from Knit N Needle yarn shoppe in Whitefish, MT. Aimee and the ladies were fantastic to me...they gave me directions until I got there...which took 3 different phone calls, but it was worth it to me! I picked the Wild Horse colorway...it reminds me of the colors of the water/sky and the trees on Wild Horse Island located on Flathead Lake. It feels delicious!

Vacation Summer of Socks

Dear Daughter took this photo of my and my vacation sock. These are toe up, 68 stitches, magic loop, using Happy Feet yarn and 2.75 mm Knit Picks needles. Oh, that is SwiftCurrent Lake and Grinnell Point which are both part of Many Glacier...also part of Glacier National Park.

I took the sock on the guided boat tour over Swiftcurrent Lake, a short walk, then to Lake Josephine and back.

I'm so proud!

Surprise...Vacation!

When the hubby says, "We hit green...if we are going to go, we need to do it now," well, we pack quickly! I had been thinking we would go to mine sapphires, but instead, we ended up at Many Glaciers...and it was fun!

We were told we literally were given the last room at the Inn...so we splurged. (Top floor...viewing the lake...no elevator, but well worth it!) It was magical to view the reflection of the mountains on the lake, but even better to view it at night...sorry, the digital wasn't able to capture that lighting.

Just Hillary Pay Down The Debt Received

Thank you Abycat! Girl, you brought me to tears...in a good way. Your kindness is appreciated...we certainly share more than just our political tendencies. The SWTC Bamboo yarn is amazing...I never knew it would be so heavy...I love it! Yes, MDF, it is a beautiful purple...and it is mine.

Look closely at the photo...do you see the adorable little crochet hook? How about the sweater key chain? I am going to be selfish and keep the chocolate tea...I never even knew they made that flavor! My only wondering is what are the foam thingies for? I was thinking of using them to mark my knit pick circulars...but I doubt that was their original occupation.

Another up close look at this beautiful yarn...wow!

Sock Put Progress

Don't look beyond the sock...cuz that only shows you what I should have been doing. Here is the progress on Hedera by Cookie A. and sock yarn by CastleFibers. That Give Em Hill Colorway is beautiful!

The Olympics have begun!

And I have cast on with my Give Em Hill yarn!

I also realized I had not shared my stuff from the fair. Delaney had to enter them for me...I was in Seattle. Here is Paula's scarf using the Mountain Colors Sunburst yarn. How appropriate for a girl from Sunburst!

And I can't forget to thank my Gryffindor Swapper...I'm sorry I was late with the post, but finding everything after coming home has been interesting. I love the book and the yarn!

Selling Cherries at Flathead Lake

Seattle...

Pioneer Square Seattle

View from the bus...check out the angle!

One of the bright spots of the trip.

This is for the hubby...Ellensburg, WA.

Fair 2008

Delaney took Lightning to the Shelby fair and just barely missed getting a steer of merit classification. (Barely means calculated to the hundredths place...wow.) Al's Diesel of Cut Bank was the winning bidder...Thank you!

Garrett's steer, Thunder, was purchased by Stockman's Bank of Cut Bank...Thank you! He will miss this steer.

Summer of Socks #2

Here is the second pair of socks for my Summer of Socks. These are made of SRK On Your Toes with Aloe Vera...nice! I used size 2.75 needles, toe up, and magic loop.

In Loving Memory

My dear brother would have been 50 this coming September 4th. Mom and Dad erected this memorial last summer...Love Ya Brother!

Trip to see my parents

The kids and I have been to see Mom and Dad...but then I lost the camera. Here are shots of two of our projects and the lovely flowers at Charlo!

Newness all around!

The end of the school year has brought about a few changes in our lives. Last Saturday, we traded in the 2002 Dodge Ram Pickup for a 2007 Dodge Caliber. The savings in gas mileage is already evident!

I also have a new pair of socks...Way cool Fawkes made with lisabeedesigns' yarn...yum!

Count down!

There are 22 fantastic young adults ready to graduate this coming Sunday...amazing. Garrett's photo is on the top...can you find it? He is also on the Skills USA for welding, and Delaney is on the Red board...just with the back of her head to the camera. She makes it tougher to get a candid shot of her!

Here are 2 of the 3 Flames Can Cozies...Congratulations Seniors!

Happy Sweet 16, Delaney!

Sixteen years ago, my little baby girl was brought into the world...my how time flies. She gets to pick how her day goes, but I do know we have pork chops for supper! I'll post photos upon our return!
