Midnight Masquarade 2009

Dear Daughter looks beautiful next to one of the two clock towers she helped to make. What a great job!

RW, DS, and my dd in the spotlight used to announce the students at the prom.

Prom Royalty 2009...my dd did the same thing 10 years ago...now it is my great nephew's turn.

Prom time at CJ!!

Table decorations...

There were two of these columns...they took about 5 hours for a group of 3-4 girls to assemble. I do believe they have earned these pieces!

The grand staircase...for visual enjoyment ONLY!

Recent Knitting Finished Objects

I have been contemplating doing the upside down daisy on the pink hat...but that would require frogging the pink stem to make it green. I'll see which side wins!

Mountain Colors Juniper Bearfoot yarn in the Puget Sound Scarf...for Jackie!

Branding Day 2009

I'm so glad the boy came home from college to help us out!

The nephews came to help also...along with a couple neighbors.

Watching on...

The guys are done and the cows are free!

DD is Explore America Bound!

It was hard to look awake at 5:45 am, but these girls tried!

First Flight: due to weather problems, the group is traveling in shifts. These adventurous students will arrive about the time the second group will leave MT. Even though they are headed out a day later than scheduled...they look pretty excited!

The whole part of putting items into the trays just doesn't click until you cause the beepers to go off. What DD doesn't know is that the really awesome new belt will be making the beeper go off in less than 2 minutes after this adorable shot.

Yep, they are all in this plane...well, the first half of them anyway. Doesn't it look like a lovely day to fly?

New Washer and Scarf!

Given a few scritches, Wisdom will allow you to hold her for a short time. If you want to keep from getting shredded, listen when she wants to get down.

The new washer made its entrance into our household...I'm still excited! That reminds me, I can do another load tonight!
Then we come to my Mitered Shawl...with a twist. I liked the squares, but felt I would accent them with a plain middle ripple. I'm planning on mirroring the squares at the other end. I think!

Spring Time on the Farm

New socks for the dear daughter...she has them packed to go on the FCCLA State trip...quite an honor!

Wisdom the attack kitty.

Spring time means new baby calves...also mud. You can see our home is in the middle of the calving pasture...never a dull moment!

Ozark Autumn Stole is completed!

I just love it! I'll reblock when I get to my blocking wires, but until then, I just had to share!

Gotta love this day!

Where to begin?

Delaney loves to put together puzzles. I picked this one up at the Silent Auction...the girl worked on it straight through from start to finish. Cool!

This lovely long scarf is made from the yarn some of my fellow Just Hillary buddies sent me after Dad passed. Now I can feel their hugs as I go through the winter weather...well, it is going to the fair first!

This is my contribution to Johnny's Senior Quilt. It is hard to believe he is really a Senior...I remember him playing with Garrett in the Bat Mobile we had in the front room. I need to find those photos...they are adorable!

I love this scarf for a youngster...The keyhole keeps the little one from ripping it off their necks! Katie gave one to Delaney when she was at the colony. That reminds me, I need to call Katie and visit.

Lastly, here is a pair of socks I made for myself. See, I manage to keep myself busy when the dear girl is putting together puzzles!

I only wish I had a better image for the pin.

Birthday Socks are completed!

The yarn is from Little Knits in Seattle and was purchased while I was out with Dad (or Grandpa to the dear boy). It is a pair of hugs for the boy as he turns 19.

A better shot of my February Lady Sweater!

And a shot showing the total length of my Puget Sound Scarf.

Winter at Home

Isn't it beautiful?

The hubby is feeding the cows just on the other side of the fence...when I can't see that fence, I do NOT go to work! (This is facing east with Haystack Butte in the center.)

February Lady's Sweater is Pert near done!

I used Patons Classic Wool in Too Turquoise for my sweater. I still need to block the lace, get buttons, and then weave in the last end. All the other ends are already woven in, but as I keep asking everyone if they think it is long enough, I must not be certain. Once it is blocked, I will know for sure.

Us 2009

I finally got my family photo...and another promise for a professional one in the future.

Finished Objects 2009

Dear sweet Hannah has been extremely patient waiting for her graduation mitts...in fact, she probably thought I forgot about making them. The truth...I hated all the ends I had to weave in...so I procrastinated. I hope she forgives me!

I also made myself this scarf/hat set from 2 skeins of Malabrigo wool/silk in Juniper. It is heavenly to the touch.
