Mom bought a load of rock, which the kids and I attempted to create a rock wall and flat area which was to connect Dad's memorial with that of Brother's memorial. After 3 days (not full days mind you) we had a finished project!
The friendship between my two kids reminds me of that between my brother and me...it is heartwarming.
This final shot shows how well we were able to connect the two!
The kids and I left the farm north of Chester to drive Highway 2 over to Kalispell, then down the west shore to see Mom. As we traveled across, I happened to see a black bear, but the kids pointed out (after I turned around to go back and get this photo)...there were two cubs!
Here is our starting project...we were to take this pile of rocks and create a flatish surface as well as a wall between a fountain and the road. It was too dark to take a photo when we decided to quit for the night (actually, the skeeters convinced us to quit), but we will do that tomorrow. Now...we just need to get the dirt off of us!
I needed to keep my hands busy during Bret's funeral...so I started this on the way to Shelby, and finished it on the return trip home. I don't remember the exact name of this Noro yarn, but I do remember that I picked it up from Little Knits when I was out in Seattle with Dad.
