Wee Tiny Sock Swap 2008

The first sock is using Kroy sock yarn, while the others are using my pattern and some of the Mountain Colors yarn I adopted. I managed to get another complete sock out of the MC...I just love that stuff!

Yep, I joined, I knit, and on Monday, I send! I'll upload the sock as soon as I find batteries for my camera.

Fun Stuff!

First there was a great S&B with Katie! I got to play with the ball winder, meet some fantastic yarn, drink amazing tea, and visit with a great knitter. How could that not be the best day in all of March?!

Garrett traded in his winnings from his scratch lottery cards. This event had to be recorded...remember I do teach math, and I understand the term 'unlikely' to occur!

Isn't this an amazing celebration of Pi?! Megan wasn't even in school last Monday, but still she had this pie brought to the classroom. This was delicious extra credit!

This is the yarn I used Katie's ball winder with...and these are the 'Gems Mitts' I finished over the Easter Break. I'm wearing them as I type...what snuggly Alpaca delight they are! There is still at least half the skein left...so perhaps I will have some footie socks to go with my mitts!

Feast Time!

Appetizer

Given the choice, would you prefer to live in the country or in the city?

There is no choice involved...I'm in the country and I will stay here!

Soup

Who is the cutest kid you know?

Mine are the cutest kids I know...and I know better than to pick one over the other...cuz I couldn't.

Salad

Fill in the blank: I couldn’t believe it when I heard Missoula (as in University of Montana) being mentioned during the Duke WVU game...cuz they were really saying Mazzulla...the last name of a player.

Main Course

If you could star in a commercial for one of your favorite products, which one would you want to advertise?

Give me Lime please. It could be the Hint of Lime tortilla chips, Splash of Lime Dawn dish washing soap (only the scent please...I really do not like washing dishes that much), Key Lime pie...I seem to be on a lime kick lately!

Dessert

What type(s) of vitamins and/or supplements do you take on a regular basis?

I try to remember to take One Source Multi-vitamins, but that does not mean that I do remember. I also try to remember the Eye vitamins...which usually means I remember each weekend. Hey, that is not all that bad!

It is Official...I dislike my entryway

Spring time in Montana brings the inhabitants back to the pasture outside my fence. After all, I live in the little house in the Mama/Calf pasture. This means a picket fence or a split rail fence wouldn't hold up to the casual scratching from the cows...so I will always have a barb-wire fence. It also means that planting any bulbs is silly...it just causes the cows to come through the fence to eat the pretties.

My entry into the house is more of a pass through...and it is narrow. It is also where the winter clothes are kept, the cover-alls which have walked through the cow pucky, and the items needed to help mid-wife the herd are kept. Oh...then add in the washer/dryer and the furnace.

Still, whenever I mutter about mucking out the entry, I remind myself that this is my addition...and then I am okay. After all, having Grandpa's place will be more important in the long run!

I"m just made my feast!

Appetizer

If you could be any current celebrity for one whole week, who would you want to be?

I would pick Miss Violet from Lime & Violet. I feel like making a few outspoken statements...and she seems able to get away with saying some amazing things!

Soup

On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how much do you enjoy talking on the phone?

As long as I can use a cordless phone, I will say I enjoy talking on the phone (9.5)...but if it the type that I have to stay in one place...I will say 4.

Salad

Name a charitable organization to which you have donated (or would like to).

Snuggles needs some more knit blanket from me. I will also be donating to the Missoula County Sheriff Department in the name of William Smith. He will be fondly remembered as a talented cut-work artist...our family will miss him.

Main Course

What is a food you like so much you could eat it every single day for a month?

Really, I am not that much into food. You can't have my tea, though!

Dessert

Have you or anyone in your family had the flu this year?

Oh my, if I say no, I"m certain I will have to come down with some sort of illness. How about I just say I haven't been to the doctor this winter...yippeee!
