Socks with funky yarn!

Well...let's try this again. Somehow Blogger lost the words which were on the post. It was just as well since I couldn't upload the pictures of the socks the first time. Math is knitting. This is my method metaphor. In keeping with the metaphor, I will use knitting analogies to help with math. It should be fun for me!

These socks are a lesson in circumference. If I give you the diameter of my foot, the stitches per inch, and the size of the stripe, can you tell me how long each piece of yarn with the different color stripes are? I"ll work in it and let you know!

Arghhh....There Be Pirates!

I get to play with the Pirates! The yarn is ordered, so now I just get to wait for it to arrive...yippeee or should I say Arggh!

What a week!

January 1 - New Year's Day...it was good to be home!
January 2 - Preparing to go back to school. I called the lawyer's office about Valley View. We are still waiting for papers to get ready!
January 3 - Back to school. There was a 7:45 meeting before school...and I was given a Hawks Hooray from Dr. Johnson! It was a good way to begin the day/week.
January 4 - Wrestling meet in Chester! Somehow there were no concessions. I'll have to see what we can do about that next year. Perhaps we need a Wrestling Boosters group to help run it?
January 5 - Wrestlers went to Cut Bank. Rick went up to watch.
January 6 - Speech/Debate bus left at 3:45 and Delaney was on that bus. Garrett was on the wrestlers bus that left at 6:15 for Browning. I went up there to watch, but the roads coming were ugly coming back. The weather was snowing and blowing...ick!
January 7 - The kids and I came home in the morning. It has been a laundry and clean house day...and now it is a pack for the week back in town. Wow.

I had to find some adventure for my last day of vacation. School begins tomorrow with a 7:45 meeting. I really do hate meetings!

Happy 2007!

Tis the season for some resolutions...so here we go!

1. Blog more, I would like to say blog daily, but being realistic, I'll aim for weekly!
2. Log more, meaning keep a daily diary-type thingie, be it online or otherwise
3. Organize my world!
4. Create and Share those creations either online or in reality...golly, I am even going to keep a few of them...but I'll share visually!
5. Enjoy! I'm planning on saying no to the things/events in my life I really don't need for positive karma. Okay, I know I'll have some bummer type events (mandatory meetings and such) but if I'm knitting or coloring images I COULD be enjoying something!

And lastly....6. Tell the important people in my life how important they are...life is too fragile to be taken for granted!
